About Niantic Awning
Niantic Awning began as a sailmaker in 1938. Formerly known as Rice’s Sail Loft. Louis Ernst passed the keys to Peter Lundin in 1989 and he in turn passed the keys to Ted Franklin, owner of Pease Awning Co., in May 2015. Pease Awning also started as a sailmaker in 1866. With the knowledge and expanded capabilities Niantic Awning & Pease Awning proudly serve both residential and commercial customers from New Haven to Cape Cod.
Niantic Awning can design, construct & install a variety of various shade weather structures. Whether your problem needs a solution from sun, wind, rain, snow or bugs, Niantic Awning has it.
For our residential customers, Niantic manufactures and installs Shade Canopy products to cover windows, doors, decks, patios or pool areas. Additional products include solar shades, privacy screens and hard roofs for snow protection. As a custom manufacturer, we fabricate locally at competitive prices using only the highest quality goods. For our business customers, Niantic can assist in initial stage of design and permitting. We offer FREE estimates and design concepts. Our state of the art Sunbrella Graphics System can give your awning that custom graphic solution. We manufacture and install entrance canopies, handicap ramp covers, stairwell hard roof and awning covers, loading dock awnings, restaurant seating canopies and roll-down curtains, and motorized solar screens.
